Camping Thoughts

Happy Long Weekend to everyone out there!

For all your Sunday of the Long Weekend reading pleasures, I thought it may be appropriate to include a collection of some camping articles I have been working on recently.  Included below is a collection of links that will take you directly to the article...
"When considering how tent camping has changed over the years, on one side, one could think that it has evolved as much and at the same pace as the rest of life. On the other hand, the avid forest camper probably believes more that tent camping in the forest has only changed as much as each and every camper lets it.

Sure, there are many evident changes that have occurred over the years in regards to tent camping in general, however the same old camping principles really still apply. Today, a small fortune can be spent on new camping gear, from your tent, sleeping bags, the best clothing, to the latest gizmos and gadgets..."

``One of the largest ways forest camping differs from other kinds of camping is that many of the amenities offered with other types of camping are unavailable in the forest. Forest camping is a far cry from the campground on the edge of town, or even your favorite campground nestled away in one of the many provincial or national parks that can be found in North America. Other differences that must also be taken into consideration before heading into the woods should include the safety and comfort for yourself and the group and how you plan to eat throughout your trip...``

``...What should be the most entertaining activity for kids in camp is, simply, the adventure that comes along with spending time in the splendid, great outdoors. In combination with a little imagination, there are countless entertaining activities for kids in camp. However, depending on level of supervision available for the kids, children should be manned with a walkie talkie, given a good chat about safety and a boundary to stay within on their adventure before leaving camp...``
